As licensed film agents, you can apply for a KFCB film license through us. You can also apply for KCAA drone licensing and flying approval for the Kenyan and East African regions through us.
Maurice Mbui is a result-oriented Creative Producer, Cinematographer, and Licensed Drone Operator with experience in high-end commercials, documentaries, corporate films, and several short films. He is also a Co-Founder of Folklore Films.
An alumnus of Prague Film School and Cinemadamare Film Institute in Italy, Maurice has his competencies centred around leadership, organisational development, and digital content creation. He has been in the industry for over 8 years having worked alongside some of the industry's top creative directors.
His filmography includes a feature film, 8 Short Films, 5 documentaries (including 3 for BBC), and several commercials. As a cultured team player with a mind to grow others, Maurice brings a creative flair to every story with a distinguished eye and intricate attention to detail.
Nick Wambugu is an award-winning Director, Producer, Drone Operator, and Co- founder of Folklore Films.
An alumnus of Cinemadamare Film Institute in Italy, he won a Kalasha Award in 2015 for Best Director in the Diaspora category for a Short Film. He was also nominated at the 2018 Cinemadamare Film Festival for Best Short Documentary for the title “Demla” which was produced and directed in Sicily, Italy.
In addition to his extraordinary efforts, he was the Drone Operator for the Student Academy Award-Winning and Academy Award-Nominated Film "Watu Wote" in 2017 as well as the Drone Pilot for the Sundance 2020 documentary film "Softie" which won the World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Best Editing.
He has also worked on 3 feature films for the BBC Africa Eye Series, including his latest release, "Street Dreams: Dancing to Survive", a documentary feature film which he worked on as a Producer and Director.
Tony De Gigz is an award-winning Music Video & Film Director and a Professional Editor whose skills have seen his work lauded across multiple online platforms.
His projects range from music videos with Waganis, Chris Kaiga, Mbogi Genje, and Ssaru to documentaries with the BBC to films like A Rough Sea and to ads with Safaricom. He is also the recipient of the 2019 Xtreem Award for the Music Video Director of the Year.
Doubling up as a camera operator, Tony has his sights set on becoming one of the top industry filmmakers.
Zahara Munyiva is an award-winning Producer, Writer, Director, and DOP.
She is an alumna of Africa Digital Media Institute with a Diploma in Film & Television Production. Driven, meticulous, and passionate, her experience encompasses films, documentaries, and commercials.
As the Co-Writer and Assistant Director of "Aminia", a short film created for the 48 Hour Film Project, her awards include Best Use of a Genre, Best Use of a Line, and The Audience Award from The 2021 48 Hour Film Project Awards. Her awards also include Best Experimental Film from the 2022 Filamu Festival Awards.
